The Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Association (VASA) is a proactive leader in the Ambulatory Surgery industry with goals to represent Virginia ambulatory surgery centers; to provide appropriate educational programs promoting safety and efficiency in ambulatory surgery, to influence state legislation and regulations affecting ambulatory surgical care; to collaborate with other organizations on local and national issues of concern to our industry; and to provide members professional growth opportunities.

Bill Stacey

Following a 12 year tour with the US Marine Corps as an officer, Mr. Stacey selected a career in healthcare administration as a group practice administrator where he has worked for the last 28 years, 22 with ASC’s in MD, PA, and VA.
Bill has served in diverse volunteer services as a county health planning board member, certified law enforcement officer, and city council member and president. He is one of the founding members of the Maryland Ambulatory Surgery Association.
He is currently the Executive Director for the Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center, LLC in Manassas, which he helped start up in 2005.
Bill earned a BS in government at the University of Maryland and an MPH, healthcare administration at the University of South Carolina.

Eric Hays, MHA, CMPE

Eric is the Chief Operating Officer for Virginia Eye Institute, an independent group of 35 Ophthalmologists and Optometrists located in Richmond, VA and Administrator of the Virginia Eye Institute Surgical Pavilion. He is a graduate of James Madison University and Virginia Commonwealth University achieving a Masters in Health Administration. After a few years in the hospital environment he made the transition to ambulatory care and physician practice management, serving the Virginia Eye Institute for the past 10 years.

Patrick Guzik, MBA, CASC, PAHM, PMP

Patrick is the Administrator at Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View, a multi-specialty, joint-venture ASC located in Suffolk, VA. He has previously served in a variety of operational and strategic leadership positions with the US Army, Honeywell, Capital One, and Genworth Financial. He received his undergraduate education at Georgia Tech in Mechanical Engineering and also has an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
